This event is brought to you as part of Kolkata International Storytelling Festival (KISF) in association with Wild Strawberry and Arts4Change. 7 International Storytellers are visting the City of Joy for the very first time to inculcate the love for reading amongst children of all ages and to celebrate the age-old form of human bonding through Oral Storytelling.
Stories from here, there, everywhere - International Storytellers Jumaini Ariff from Singapore and Priyanka Chatterjee from India will take you to lands known and unknown, through their Interactive Storytelling.
Jumaini Ariff is a children's book author, a Malay language ambassador and a prominent storyteller from Singapore. She is known for her unique persona, ‘Nek Selampit’, and has participated in numerous national language and cultural campaigns as well as international storytelling festivals. Jumaini is heads ‘Storyscribblers’; a literary based company that celebrates stories and storytelling through creative programmes.
Priyanka Chatterjee is an International Story Consultant, Drama Coach, Clown and Educator with special interest in Storytelling in Facilitation, Theater for Social change and Drama in Education (DIE). She is an MBA (Gold Medalist) and an alumna of International Institute of Storytelling, Emerson College, UK. She spent a long tenure in Fortune 500 MNCs & leading Indian Media House; but later passion made her leave the comfort & security of the ‘known’ and jump into the unknown. Till date, she has reached 77000+ children and 13000+ adults with her Storytelling and Dramatization Techniques as Branding tool, Pedagogical tool, Therapeutic tool, Communication tool etc
Seema Wahi Mukherjee is an Education Consultant, an International Storyteller, a Story Coach, and a Toy and Puppet designer who believes in the Power of Storytelling to create engagement in the teaching learning process in schools, colleges and different organisations. As a trainer, Seema has performed at different platforms in India and abroad.
