About Openhouse
What You’ll Experience
1. How do I help my child enjoy being with other kids?
2. My child is not toilet trained, is that okay?
3. My child cries when I leave, what should I do?
Often face these questions? Don’t worry - all parents go through this phase. Come attend our workshop, where we discuss these challenges and how parents can overcome them on the path to preschool readiness.

👋 Welcome (5 min)
Parents reflect on what preschool “readiness” really means, setting aside pressure and focusing on their own child’s journey.
🧠 Understanding Readiness (15 min)
Parents will learn about four key areas of readiness - emotional, relational, play-based, and environmental - illustrated with relatable examples.
✏️ Child Readiness Tool (10 min)
Parents will use a simple reflection tool to assess where their child is developmentally, and where they might need more time or support.
🛤️ Pathways Forward (10 min)
Parents will learn different starting points - ready now, not quite yet, or gradual entry - and take away concrete ideas for what to do in each scenario.
❓ Open Q&A (20 min)
Parents will leave with reassurance, clarity, and space to ask questions specific to their child and context in a supportive, non-judgemental space.
